Several of the world’s top-ranked players headline the elite international field, including 2026 LPGA Tour winners Jeeno Thitikul (No. 2), Hannah Green (No. 6) and Lottie Woad (No. 7). Six past champions are also committed to the Meijer LPGA Classic, including defending champion Carlota Ciganda, Lilia Vu (2024), Leona Maguire (2023), Jennifer Kupcho (2022), Brooke Henderson (2017 and 2019) and Lexi Thompson (2015), also runner-up in 2025.

Tournament officials also announced today the tournament’s three sponsor invitations: Kiara Romero, a rising senior at the University of Oregon and the world’s top-ranked amateur, as well as two Michigan State University alumni, Katie Lu and Taylor Kehoe.

Kiara Romero. A U.S Girls’ Junior champion, McCormack Medal winner, and multiple time All-American at the University of Oregon, Kiara Romero is widely recognized as one of the top young talents in women’s golf. Ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, Romero has combined her elite collegiate success with strong performance in three major championships, including Low Amateur honors and a top-six finish at the 2026 U.S Women’s Open. That performance, combined with her recent Curtis Cup victory, earned her four additional points towards the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway (LEAP) program, raising her total to 18 points.

Katie Lu. A 2025 graduate of Michigan State University and a four-year member of the MSU women’s golf team. She finished her career at Michigan State with a 73.34 scoring average, fourth all-time. An accomplished amateur golfer from Plainsboro, N.J., she recorded multiple wins during her collegiate career and competed in the Meijer LPGA Classic as a tournament sponsor invitation in 2024. She currently competes on the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour, where she recorded her first professional win at the Coke Dr. Pepper Open in April.

Taylor Kehoe. A Canadian native and Michigan State University alumna who graduated in May lead the team with a 72.24 scoring average in her senior season. She wrapped up her collegiate career with a T23 finish at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. She completed a spectacular two-year career at Michigan Gate, carrying a team-leading 72.24 scoring average this year and as the all-time leader in scoring average at Michigan State with a 72.33 mark (minimum 60 rounds played).  A five-time AJGA winner and a member of the Canadian National Team, Tehoe will be making her LPGA Tour debut at the Meijer LPGA Classic.

They will join a 144-player field that also features:

  • 20 major champions, including fan favorites Hannah Green, Brittany Lincicome and Anna Nordqvist.
  • Four World No. 1 players (former): Jin Young Ko, Jeeno Thitikul, Yani Tseng and Lilia Vu
